Well, now it's time for a Build-A-MOOC workshop.\r\n\r\nMassive Online Open Courses (MOOC) are all the rage in higher education. Be it the \"Connectivist\" MOOCs (or cMOOCs) led by the likes of Dave Cormier, George Siemens and Stephen Downes or the more corporate-run MOOCs (or xMOOCs) offered by the likes of Coursera, Udacity, etc., these large-scale learning experiences are causing many questions to be asked by higher ed. administrators. \r\n\r\nSome have considered the possibility of creating massive open online courses for secondary school students, but MOOC-mania has mainly settled in the world of higher education. In this workshop, though, we'll see if we can begin to craft a meaningful learning experience for high school students that is massive, open and online. We will see if, within the time constraints of one Educon session, we can literally build a MOOC for high school students across the world.","Link":[],"Audience":["High School"],"Practice":"This is a workshop.
